Play specialise in hybrid stage balls - or to be more precise, balls that look like standard stage balls but with a variety of different fillings, textures and skin thicknesses. Their wide selection ensures there is something for everyone - even the most demanding juggler. The SRX ball by Play is one quarter filled with a fine quartz sand. This makes this a bottom heavy ball, which is still on the light side. The weighting of the ball significantly reduces the amount it will roll, making them ideal for neck, foot and head catches. It is a contemporary version of the traditional Russian style stage ball and has a very distinct character when in motion. Russian balls were originally developed to let jugglers train on the straightness of their throws - any wobble in the ball's flight could clearly be seen.
