š„Original Gora Fire Sword
This is the original Gora Fire Sword, first created in 2003. It has a beautiful flame, is durable and light.
The Fire Sword is best used for dancing and swinging style moves, or to act out a fight. It is also suitable for throwing type tricks, but if this is your specialty, we recommend you go for the Flying Sword.
The core of the Fire Sword is a 10 mm fiber glass rod. The handles start with a 40 mm wooden ball knob followed by a soft spongy EPDM tube grip. A silicone disc acts as a shield to protect your hands and arms from the flames.
The tip of the blade is wrapped by a 25 mm reinforced kevlar wick to protect from abrasion. If this part is damaged, we recommend you donāt use the sword until it is replaced as this part is much easier to repair.
šSpecifications:
- Weight: 335g
- Wick: 25mm Kevlar
- Total Length: 92cm
- Wick Covered Length: 54cm
- Handle Length: 28cm
š¦ŗRecommendations for use:

I love these swords. They're GREAT! They look awesome and do exactly what they say on the tin.
To overcome the fueling issue use a paraffin based gel. You can get it online for about £8. Or from garden centres/hardware stores.
I apply to the wick and rub it in using a towel.
A nice thick coating gives a lovely burn of about 3 minutes.
Overall this is a great product, however, there are a few issues with the operation of the sword. For example: applying fuel to the wick can be tricky although this can be overcome be using plumbing pipe with a cap on the bottom to prevent leaking, another issue is the size of the flame created when lighting the sword, the hand guard could sometimes do with being abit wider so your hand has better protection, but after a few use's you become accustomed to it.
Apart from those couple of issue's, this has been a brilliant prop and a great addition to our show.
you get some nice long burns with this one, however soaking can be a problem. the handle looks flimsy but once you start moving with it you'll realise is solid inside. the centre balance point is a couple inches into the flame so it doesn't handle like a proper sword as such but due to the club like design it gets some nice effect and as long as you dont smash each other with any real intent you could more than have duels with these. like always Gora make quality merch
