Cathedral wick fire poi from Fyrefli.
"Cathedral" is the name for this folded square wick design.
Their main advantage is that they have a large surface area which gives a very respectable flame for their overall size. As well as this they have very little exposed metal on the head (less branding risk).
Most spinners will quickly acclimatise to fire, and once you have, these will not leave you looking for an upgrade.
2 metres of 50mm Para-Aramid wick per pair with a central fixing bolt.
Comes with ball or link chain and finger loop.

This item was recommended as suitable for beginners, which I am. The chain is attached to the poi head with clips (as opposed to a D-ring), and, at the other end, another clip attaches to a somewhat flimsy bearing swivel attached to a split ring (keyring). The nylon webbing loop started coming away from the opening after just two hours use. The action is OK, but if you're looking for love (Aston Martin), as opposed to just functional (Datsun) poi, this probably isn't the set for you. I'll probably be looking to upgrade sooner rather than later, and keep these as practice poi (but replace the attachments with oval links and ballbearing swivels).
