Roadriding & Commuter Unicycles
Cover more ground and find your pace with our range of Roadriding Unicycles. Designed for distance, speed, and smooth tarmac, these cycles are the ideal choice for commuters and long-distance tourers. At Oddballs, we stock high-performance road unicycles that turn a simple ride into a full-body workout and a fast-paced adventure. If you’re looking to swap the car for a single wheel or want to tackle a charity "ride-out," our road-specific models are built to go the distance.
Engineered for Efficiency
The secret to a great road unicycle is the wheel diameter. By using larger 29-inch or massive 36-inch wheels, these cycles offer incredible rolling momentum, allowing you to maintain high speeds with fewer revolutions of the pedals. Our road range features lightweight frames and narrow, high-pressure tyres that reduce rolling resistance, ensuring every bit of energy you put into the cranks translates into forward motion.
Key Features for the Road
-
Large Wheel Diameters: 29" for agile city commuting or 36" for ultimate top speed and "mile-munching" performance.
-
High-Pressure Road Tyres: Narrower profiles designed to glide over pavement with minimal drag.
-
Multi-Position Handlebars: Many of our road models are compatible with "T-bars," allowing you to shift your weight forward for better aerodynamics and comfort on long journeys.
-
Lightweight Alloy Frames: Minimising weight to make hill climbs easier and more manageable.
-
Short Cranks: Optimised for a smooth, fast cadence rather than the high-torque power needed for off-road riding.
